Atlanta, Georgia is incredible and totally underrated.

It’s a prominent and influential city in American history (it’s the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement!).

“The Big Peach” also happens to be absolutely gorgeous. There are countless museums, stunning lush green parks, and chill new restaurants and bars.

Also called The A, this city’s cool doesn’t care about competing for tourist attention like LA or New York. But it gets it anyway.

Decorated with fragrant magnolia loaded with blooms in spring, Atlanta’s landscape, architecture, and wedding venue options are endless. That makes narrowing yours down one tough choice.

We're showing off some of our absolute favorites to give you an idea of what to expect from an Atlanta wedding venue!

1. The Wimbish House

This prominent midtown location stands out at the corner of Peachtree and 14th street.

Venture inside to discover the natural beauty this venue has to offer. You’re treated to high ceilings and huge windows that allow in a warm surge of natural light that spills onto the gleaming hardwood floors.

The Wimbish House accommodates up to 200 guests, and you also get:

• On-site attendant
• Seating, top-notch PA system, and projector
• Wedding event planner services

We love how each room is so tastefully and elegantly decorated — and obviously, the photo opportunities are epic!

Does your dream palette include a clean white offset against mahogany and forest green, with touches of gold and crystal? Then, you’ll love this award-winning Atlanta wedding venue in nearby Marietta.

Outside, it’s an impressive display of southern charm, including a large porch lined with crisp white columns.

The indoor space is polished with a sweeping staircase, high ceilings, massive windows, and stately furniture.

    It includes:

    • Gardens, gazebo, and courtyard
    • Access to the first and second floor
    • Bridal suite and groom’s lounge
    • Space for 150–300 guests

We can’t get enough of the impact made by the decor. Its seamless blend of old and new couldn’t be more perfect. We adore how it works so well with the charming cobbled outdoor space and neatly trimmed lawn surrounded by trees.

      3. The Ritz Carlton

This luxurious space sits in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The Ritz Carlton’s striking architectural features, lit by glittering crystal chandeliers, set the perfect backdrop.

      This space includes:

      • Seating for 300 and standing for 700 guests
      • In-house catering
      • Access to the Piazza Ballroom, Grand Ballroom, and Georgian Room

We love that each space has its own distinct flair. For example, the Georgian room feels warm and inviting with its wood-paneled walls and gives off old-world cocktail hour vibes.

        4. Atlanta Botanical Garden

With over 30 acres of exquisite blooms, the botanical gardens are a romantic and enchanting place to tie the knot. With various flowers in season 12 months a year, it’s a fabulous spot for an outdoor wedding.

        This event space has:

        • Choice of multiple sites, including indoor and outdoor space
        • Up to 400 guest capacity
        • Plenty of photo opportunities

We love how easy it is to get married with rare tropical and desert blooms as your décor. Then, move the party indoors, and dance the night away under the light of custom tulip fixtures.

          5. The Foundry

What used to be a place that manufactured soap and cleaning products has evolved into one of Atlanta’s premier event spaces. The Foundry features original pine beams, polished concrete floors, and dramatic skylights.

The soft touches of your special day décor will pop against brick walls and natural elements.

A wedding planner's dream, this space is just waiting for a little greenery, burnt orange linens, and flickering candlelight. Or however you dream of decorating for your big day.

          The space provides:

          • 12,000 square feet of event space
          • 1,200 maximum guest capacity
          • Ample parking

We can’t get enough of the exposed brick walls, wood beams, and multiple windows, allowing maximum natural light.

            6. The Piedmont Garden Tent

The Piedmont Room is bright and airy.

The Piedmont Garden tent is a sight to behold: creamy silk, crystal and gold, glittering chandeliers, and soaring ceilings. It’s safe to say this is not your traditional wedding tent.

This semi-outdoor setting is bedecked with glittering café lights and soft romantic touches. It’s classy, romantic, and ethereal.

            It comes with:

            • Locally inspired menu
            • Capacity for over 500 guests
            • Choice of Piedmont Room or Piedmont Garden tent
            • Ivory table linens and gold Chiavari chairs

We’re totally swept away by the attention to detail (the tent even has an AC!) and how “I do” perfect both of these options are.

              7. The Peachtree Club

Located smack-dab in the heart of midtown, the Peachtree Club is Atlanta’s only skyline-level open-air event space. It's home to luxurious European-inspired décor. The Peachtree Club is unique and sophisticated, perfect for everyone who swoons at glittering city skyline views.

              It includes:

              • Butler and tuxedo-clad service staff
              • Personalized menu choices
              • Outdoor ceremony space for up to 160 guests
              • Walking distance to top-notch hotels

There’s something extra special about celebrating on a rooftop. We love the thought of a wedding reception where guests sip champagne during golden hour, watching the sunset over the city below.

                8. The Trolley Barn

Owning the dance floor and having fun isn’t hard to do under a 30-foot ceiling held up by original 1889 beams.

The Trolley Barn is a focal point of Atlanta’s history. It once served as a church and a basketball court before transforming into a beautiful, light, and airy event venue.

The outdoor space is green and lush and includes a patio and mezzanine.

                This space has:

                • Tables, chairs, and furnishings
                • On-site attendant
                • Capacity for 225 seated, 400 standing

We love the subtle whimsy and elegance. The outdoor area is private and secluded, and the indoor space could easily be made-over into a grand ballroom or banquet hall.

                  9. The Swan House

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serving as a museum, the Swan House is a sight to behold.

You can host a wedding and reception outdoors on this grand mansion’s intimate and impeccable grounds. The Swan House is intricately designed to include sculptural elements and fountains, with cascading roses and manicured hedges.

                  It features:

                  • Touring the estate on the wedding day
                  • Versatility with lighting and set-up
                  • Space to seat up to 750 guests

We are absolutely awed by the grandeur of this Georgia wedding venue. You have to see it to believe it.

                    10. Chateau Elan

Located in Georgia’s rolling foothills, this 3,500-acre winery and resort provides an unlimited amount of pristine outdoor settings — from the forested Matisse Terrace to the Rose Vineyard. It’s also home to stunning indoor spaces, like the light-filled atrium.

                    It includes:

                    • 50,000 square feet of event space
                    • Complimentary wine tasting for guests
                    • Curated menu
                    • Complimentary wedding suite for the newlyweds

We flat-out love this place, and what’s not to love? Besides the fact that it has multiple spaces, all dream wedding-worthy, it’s full of all the first-class amenities anyone could ever want.

                      11. The Estate

This gorgeous, rich, and warm venue is unique and inviting.

The private grounds of this gated gem feel almost like a country club. It’s as though you’ve been transported somewhere far outside the busy city.

                      It includes:

                      • Décor masters to help design the space to match your theme
                      • Indoor and outdoor wedding venue options
                      • Brides room with vanity and full-length mirror
                      • Gorgeous ballroom to dance the night away

We love how charming it is, especially the upstairs with its floor-to-ceiling windows.
