"Thank you for calling Bella Bridesmaids! How can I help you?"
"Hi! Can you send me a swatch of Hunter Green? I need to dye my shoes to match my dress!"
We've heard them all- those ancient rules of bridesmaids past, handed down from generation to generation while eating chicken salad and sipping champagne at the bridal shower. Warning other brides-to-be and their maids about what to do, what NOT to wear, or what their mother told them.
Well ladies, the time has come to break the rules! You know you want to!
Here is the inside scoop from all our Bellas on what not to worry about!
MYTH 1: YOUR EARRINGS HAVE TO MATCH YOUR BRACELET AND YOUR NECKLACE

"What do you mean you are wearing silver earrings and a gold necklace?!"
That's right ladies, time to get off the matchy matchy train and live a little! Step away from the pearl earrings with a pearl necklace and a pearl bracelet and mix it up!
Try a pair of gold studs with a bold turquoise necklace and rose gold bangles to complement your coral dress. The different mix of accessories will add more color, texture, and personality to your palette for some picture perfect photos. (And very stylish bridesmaids!)
MYTH 2: YOUR SHOES MUST BE DYED TO MATCH THE DRESS

"My navy shoes aren't the same navy as my navy dress! Do you think anyone will notice?!"
Trust us, no one will, even if they are fabulous! Gone are the days of dyeing your shoes to match your dress. It's time to ditch those satin pumps and step into something you already own! A nude heel is the way to go. They match everything, lengthen the leg, and are hands down a closet must have. If you don't have a pair in your closet already, now is the time!
P.S. Part of the bridesmaid job description is standing...a lot of standing. Make sure your shoes don't break the bank, or your ankle!
MYTH 3: KEEP YOUR JEWELRY MINIMAL

"You can't wear that necklace! It will take away from the bride!"
Despite your awe inspiring Bella Bridesmaids dress and BFF glow, nothing will distract people from the bride, including that chunky necklace. Showcase your own personal style with your accessories!
If you are going strapless, add a bold necklace and dainty studs. If you wear a hoop earring, ditch the necklace and add some stacked gold rings. Remember ladies, the only rule is there are no rules so say bye bye to the silver pendant and say hello to that arm party!
