Mountain brides to be, take note! Alexa and Ryan’s Vermont nuptials are an absolute dream! Stunning florals and breathtaking views…what more could a couple ask for to start their forever?  #BellaBoston

How did you two meet?

Ryan and I met at Genetti’s Wine & Spirits in summer of 2009. I was on college break and was working as a cashier and he was the handsome salesman who handed me his business card. The rest is history!

How did your fiancé propose?

Ryan proposed just about two years ago this month. We had just finished dinner on our first night in St. Lucia. We decided we’d check out the jacuzzi and he pulled the ring right out from underneath his towel. I was totally caught by surprise!

Location, location, location! How did you choose your venue? What type of venue were you looking for?

We got married in the mountains of Vermont at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort. We were going for a rustic, unique and dog friendly location, which is exactly what we got!

Who designed your beautiful gown? Where did you get it?

My gown was designed by Liv Harris, the in house designer at Vows in Watertown, MA.

Describe the wedding.  The look, theme, style, colors, etc.

I planned the wedding to match the venue, which was natural, beautiful, and rustic. I also wanted to make sure that we made good use of the breathtaking view. Our ceremony was at the top of a knoll overlooking the resort and lake, while our reception was in the barn.  The colors were navy, champagne and mocha, and our flowers were neutral with pops of peach and greenery.

Tell us about your bridesmaids dresses!

I decided to do mix and match dresses from Bella Bridesmaids so that each of my nine girls would feel confident and comfortable in which ever dress they chose to wear. We had most girls in Joanna August and a few girls in Wtoo. My sister and maid of honor wore a gorgeous Kimi gown.  The dresses varied in color and blended together beautifully.

Favorite memory from the day!

My favorite moment was walking down the aisle to my groom & of course our first kiss!

There were some other noteworthy memories as well! One of the best moments from that day was my arrival.  My dad & I rode up on a horse-drawn carriage. It was the princess moment I had always envisioned and I know that it meant the world to my dad. I kept it a secret so it was such a fun surprise for our guests.

Last, but certainly not least, we had our two dogs in our wedding, which made for another special moment.
